Balticon WrapUp

Well, it was slow starting and less sales than in the past few years but I did OK. I sold 2 pictures that went to auction, one quick sale and one that went for minimum bid! My Artist Alley table was also slow but I did sell a few things, paid for the table and I guess made it worth doing.

Balticon NEEDS ART!! If you know any artists who live anywhere near Baltimore or who would be willing to come to Baltimore for a convention next May, please tell them about Balticon! We need t build the art show back up, it was way to small this year (it used to be HUGE)!

Delayed Deer

Well, I had really hoped to have this done for Balticon (this weekend) but due to a 3 day headache and eye problems it will not be done. So here is a work in progress picture of a shield I am doing. This is a wooden shield, 41 x 21 1/2, Acrylic paint so far. Still not sure what I am doing for the background/rest of the picture.

Wet Woman

I don't do allot of females in my art and I almost never get strong inspiration for a picture of one, but in this case I did! After seeing another artists work, that had NO resemblance to this picture or in any way really related to this picture, I got the strong inspiration to do a Japanese print style Siren! That was the first part that grabbed me, the second was to not base it strongly on any actual Japanese prints, but to just try and capture the same feel as one. I hope I did that, in any case I am very happy with her. "Siren", 7 x 17 1/2, Acrylic, Micron pen, and ProWhite on Canson board. Original SOLD. Prints for sale. Picture 16.

Bad Wolf...I Mean New Picture

OK, After trying half a dozen ideas (after the original that started the picture didn't work how I wanted it to), I finally hit on an idea I liked that worked. I am still not sure the figure is dark enough (flesh tone) or that the sky works like I want, but it is done! "Flesh and Fur, Unraveling the Spiral", 18 1/2 x 10 1/2 Acrylic and a tiny bit of ProWhite on Canson board. Original and prints for sale. Picture 15.

New Leather Work

I was commissioned to do new Coronets for a local SCA Barony. Here is the first of the set. The photo does not do it justice, I am very happy with how this came out! Leather, 2 1/2 inches tall. 21 1/2 inches around, Acrylic paint, glass/Acrylic jewels and artificial half pearls. 14.

Stupid Spammers!!

Due to spam, I now have added the requirement for word verification for comments! I HATE doing it since I hate the stupid word verification things myself. But I have been flooded with Spam comments on my differentt Webles and just can't deal with the crap anymore. I WANT comments but I want real comments...I am very very sorry for the inconvenience! Please still leave comments!

Thanks,
 Tristan

Questions on This Picture??

OK, I had an idea, started it, things looked good and then...THUD! My original idea seems to NOT be workable...I wanted him to be holding a rope, pulling the moon (somehow encircled by the rope). SO no I need help, I need an idea, something for him to be pulling or a way to put the moon in and make it work! Any help will be appreciated, sooner is best!
