Old Art by Old Friend

I just rediscovered this original picture I have by Tom Howell, a very good artist and old friend. It unfortunatly has yellowed nd gotten dirty over the years so I scanned it and di da black and white version as well. But here is the original color version of his black and white merboy...I just love the movement and style of this! The original is about 8 x 8 marker on tan paper.

Statue Lost

I have a lovely statue that I got form Design Toscano of boy pan, it was in a niche and had been happily setting there for years. Well the stupid glue that held the niche in place gave way and I found my statue with his head shattered! :( If anyone finds another like this anyplace PLEASE let me know! Design Toscano doe not carry it anymore and I would love to have a replacement! Repair is not going to work I fear!

New Cover Continues

Well, the figure is comeing along, now if only I can get a background like she wants!!

Here We Go Again

Started the next Cover for my friend who wrote "Gods of Crystal, Gods of Dreams". This is step two or three...not posting the first sketch this time, it was close tho what I show here anyway with minor alterations to get to this point! This is 20 x 13, Acrylic and pencil on Canson board. This is part sketch and part black and white study.

ATTENTION!!

ATTENTION!! Anyone in PA or anywhere who knows my son, Joe Gravelle, he is in trouble! Do NOT give him money! He has a warrant for his arrest in PA and in Illinois! If he contacts you, contact the police and get him in custody so he can get some help! He has apparently been using drugs and has stolen to get them. I love my son and do NOT want him to die, so if he can get into custody and get some help it would be good!

Finally Done I hope

OK, I am stopping now, I doubt I will ever be completely happy with this but I hope the client is happy with it! Not a bad picture, just I am off right now and it was not flowing, I had to force myself to finish it!
"Before the Fight", 8 1/2 x 11 Acrylic on Canson board. Prints available. (The color is a bit off on the scan, I may try and adjust it later). Picture 19.

Before the Fight STILL

OK, I am blocked and can not get anything done...so this is where I am at on this commission. Still not thrilled with the background but I am trying to push through and get it done!

Spring Conversation, Now with Mountains

I posted the original version of this a few weeks back and it seems to not be quite right. After having others look at it and comment on it, I decided adding mountains to the background would help. So here is the new version of "Spring Conversation". Original and prints for sale.

Coronets Together

Just because I wanted to show these side by side I am posting this. They are slightly different, mostly changes based on the different sizes they had to be. I hope the people who commissioned them like them!
Acrylic and imitation gems on leather. Art number 17.

Second Coronet done!

I finally have the second coronet I was commissioned to do for a local SCA Barony. I think they came out very well. The pictures do not do justice to how they look in person! Acrylic on leather with imitation stones.

Wolf Quote Print

This is a cropped and slightly altered version of the AoA scroll I did for my husband many years ago (in the 80's). The quote is from Robert Ghost Wolf , a Native American. The Wolf and Celtic knotwork was done in Acrylic on watercolor paper and is roughly 16 x 6 1/2. Lettering is computer done. Prints for sale.

Before the Fight Cont.

This is an update on the commission I stoped or slowed down on while trying to do stuff for Balticon. It is Acrylic on Canson board, 8 1/2 x 11. Work in progress, I hope to finish this this week.
