Unfinished Work

I started this before leaving for Anthro Con and because of not feeling well, not feeling like doing anthro art now and other reasons he may never be finished. So I am post what is done just so I have something to post. "Lynx Boy",  8 1/2 x 7, Acrylic and watercolor colored pencil.

Selling the Unsellable

Not that anyone on here has ever bought any of my books, but since I have so many Anthro pictures now. I am considering doing another book of my Anthro art just to feel like maybe I can get something for all the work if anyone buys a book. What I am looking for now is a name, I have my first Anthro themed book "Animalia" and I was happy with that title. I have my all animal book "Bestiary". So now I think a second anthro book might give me some chance to make something off the art that no one wants to buy as originals (or prints apparently). Books maybe better..I need a name for the new book.

I am sure that is REALLY rambling and I am not going to try and read it again to myself to try and fix it.

Any ideas for new Anthro themed book titles will be appreciated

Back from Anthro Con

Well, it wasn't the worst Con I have ever been to, but it wasn't the best by a LONG way! I did sell 3 pictures, for minimum bid. They almost paid for my hotel room...

It could have been worse and I could be saying I will never attend another AC. But I may try again (it must be the masochist in me). I have several issues with how they do their art show and with the extreme cliquishness of art buyers in the "furry" community. If you have a "name" they will buy almost anything from you, no matter how bad it may be. If you are not one of these "names" you can be the best artist on the planet and not sell! There are some very good artists with a "name" in this fandome, and I love several of the artist works, BUT my work is on the same level at least as several of these, but because I am not one of those "name" people, my work gets ignored!

Also the fact that people paid big bucks for crap art done on computer and printed on vinyl just boggles my mind and angers me. IT'S a blood print of a bad digital picture !! WHY would anyone spend hundreds on it??? I will never understand.

I am seriously thinking of not doing anymore anthro art. I have a couple pictures in the works (partly done or commissioned already) but after they are done I may move on and just forget about this style/type of art. We will see...

Off to Anthro Con

I really hope I have a good time and sell some art! This is a huge convention and I have allot of art for it. So my husband will be home with the cats while I go off with a friend to this convention. I won't be posting again before Monday I suspect. Wish me luck!

Personal Art

Over the years, I have done many Merman pictures...I have sold very very few of these. It seems I am the only person who really likes my mermen. So here is what will undoubtedly end up as another in my collection of unsold work featuring mermen. "Swim", 3 x 4, Acrylic, watercolor colored pencil, Micron marker and Copic marker on Bristol. Suitable for a name badge. For sale. Picture 51.

Here is the finished version of one of the two small pictures I posted last. This is "Lady Cat", 3 x 4, Acrylic, Micron marker, watercolor colored pencil, Copic markers and a tiny bit of Pro White on Bristol paper. For sale! Picture 50.

Little Sketches

Yesterday, while waiting on my husband who was attending church, I did these small sketches. They are 3 x 4, pencil on Bristol and will be inked or painted soon! "Merman" and "Cat Woman". (I won't count them yet, I will wait till they are finished).

New Art, Last for AC

I hope this is my last picture for AnthroCon and my last Fox pic for a while also (I have other things I should be doing). I bought a lovely little frame at Goodwill and that is what I did this to fit. It is an elongated octagon (note on the picture the black triangles in the corners, these are just fill areas on the scan but are not there on the original).
Just so you know, his penis is NOT erect, it is how dog genitals look more or less (they are in a sheath and it aims up). "Wild and Free", 7 x 15 1/2, Acrylic and Prisma Color on Canson board. Original will be for sale at AnthroCon. Prints available. Picture 49.

Another Dragonrider

Way back when, I belonged to the Fort Weyr branch of the Dragonriders of Pern Fan Club. T'ran was my character but I was starting to create another one and this is the only picture I ever did of him. "V'tor & Spark". 9 x 12, Micron marker on Bristol. Prints available (I think the original is still laying around if anyone is really interested).

Guess I Was Wrong

I posted my picture "Wematin Tokala" and said it was the last picture I would get done for Anthro Con...well, here is another one. People on FurAffinity seemed to really like the last one and painting the anthro foxes is fun. So here is "Drawing Down the Night". This is 10 x 16, Acrylic and ProWhite on Canson board. This will be for sale at Anthro Con, prints available now. Picture 48.

More Gay Stuff

I did this in two stages, I started it and got about a third done and then stoped. Years later, maybe 2 or 3, I found it again, and spilled tea on it but I liked what I had done to that point so much that I made a copy, cleaned it up in paintshop, printed it out and finished it on the printed copy. The idea/theme is a European youth, who is captured and um...kept, by the Turks. "Captive of the Turks", 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, Micron marker on print paper. Prints available.

Vampyre Pride

OK, well maybe Gay/Vampyre mixed (though for me Vampyres are omnisexual by nature). This was done back in 1992 and I really like the expressions (something I don't think I normally do very well). "A Different Kind of Batman and Robin", 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 marker on paper. As always, prints available.

Small But Widespread

Well, I have 47 followers of this Weble and among them I have maybe 8 countries represented! That is amazing to me. Scotland being the newest...I guess this "Internet" thing is not just in the US, LOL! Anyway, welcome to ALL the people who read and view this Weble. PLEASE leave comments, that is one of the main reasons for this thing being up to begin with!

Thanks,
Tristan

Pride Art

Back in the late 80's or early 90's I was Artist Guest of Honor for Gaylaxicon, a gay Sci Fi convention. It was great...except for the con book and t-shirt designs witch I had to do 3 times before they liked one. This is one that was not used, I hope I haven't already posted this on here. I figured with the Pride Parades and such this past weekend it would be a fitting picture to post. "Gay Android Rescue", 8 1/2 x 11 marker on Bristol.

Fox at the Well

This is my latest ,the name "Wematin Tokala" (supposedly means brother fox in a Native American dialect).
Anyway, this is most likely the last one I will get done in time for AC. Original will be for sale at AnthroCon and prints will be available as soon as I get the photo/better scan. 10 x 16, Acrylic, watercolor colored pencil, Prisma Colors, and Pro White on Canson board. Picture 47.

Oh The Horror!

This is a very old pencil sketch I did sometime in the 80's. It was inspired by H.R. Giger's work. "Horror 1", 8 1/2 x 11, pencil on art paper.

Old Character

I hope I didn't post this already, I didn't see it when I checked. This is a picture of my Dragonriders of Pern fan club character. He is a redhead with  green eyes, he rides a Green dragon and the fire lizard is a bronze. "Tran & Blink", less than 8 1/2 x 11 marker on art paper.

Older Black and White

This was done for the ill fated Merman book. It is done in a style much more suited to my friend, Tom Howell who does amazing art (or did before computer animation stole him away). This is done in a style he used to do allot of. "Bait", 8 1/2 x 11, Micron marker on Bristol paper.

Bronco Finished

Well, unless the person who commissioned it wants changes, I am done with this one. A young man/boy who is an underground fighter. For a personal "book", this is the cover; "Warrior: Bronco's Odyssey", 8 1/2 x 11, Acrylic and watercolor colored pencil on Canson board. Picture 46.

Next Project

OK, I am not sure how much I can share, but this is the next project/commission. It is for a story and the first picture is the "cover". This is the first sketch and second/third in the process. (The second one was the figure without the background or details/lettering so I am not including it). "Bronco progression", 8 1/2 x 11, pencil on Canson board. This will be a fully painted picture when finished.

Please Help!

My friend needs your help. Buy his art or mine and help him! My friend Akirashima/ Theddy
http://www.furaffinity.net/user/akirashima/ may be HOMELESS soon! THIS is serious and is NOT something that can be easily delt with. If anyone wants a print of ANY of my art, I will charge only $25 (plus shipping) for my 11 x 17 prints (normally $40) if you order before August! ALL of the money I get will go to help Theddy either stay in his house OR move!

This man is one of the most generous and talented I know and it is just wrong that he is having this problem through no fault of his own! Here are some of his picture you can order prints of from me!
