And Now the Male

Because my son said I should do a companion to the Violet Ifriti, since I had a matching oval frame, here is the fist step in the male version. Ifrit WIP 1, 21 1/2 x 13 more or less, oval. He will be holding a sword or weapon of some sort. I am thinking of making him green with purple details, the reverse of the female.

Violet Ifriti

An Ifriti is the female form of Ifrit or Efreet. They are fire beings related to the Djinn, Middle Eastern demons. "Violet Ifriti", 12 x 21 (approx.) Acrylic, Prowhite and metallic gold on Crescent board. Original SOLD, prints available. Picture 9.

Ifriti WIP 3

I went with purple or Violet as that and blue were the 2 most suggested colors by others. The black background does not photograph well with a flash (when finished I will get a picture in the sun so I hope it will look ok). All her jewelry is metallic gold and I am still unsure of the scarf. Feedback is welcome. "Ifriti WIP 3". Picture 9.

Old Dragon Best Comments

I did this way back when I was working for Judges Guild and I just recently posted it on a FaceBook page for D&D art. I am posting this because the comments I got where some of the best and most flattering I have ever gotten.

"Everything looks more realistic and deadly in the old style art."

"the highlights are where theres just nothing drawn. The absence of a pattern was a really cool means of manipulation for a highlight. It has that musty book smell if i were to ascribe a sense to it"

"Like cs lweis paperbacks that are 30 years old but kept in good condition"

First Picture of 2019 WIP

Well I am trying to do art, ANY art and trying to get my muse to create anything so I can get back to work and do the art I  am supposed to be doing. No idea what this will be called but I like parts of it, so that is good.

2019 Will be a Very Bad Year

My son has been told he has months to live, the possibility of him living to see his next birthday in October is slim to none! My husbands mother has breast cancer but that was more or less under control, well now she has found out the reason she broke her hip just a month or so ago is because she has bone cancer! The chances we will lose her this year are pretty high! Our former roommate and friend who lives near us will possibly lose her mother (who is also a friend of ours) because she has lung cancer!

So I predict that 2019 will be a very bad year! :(
