Revenge

This was inspired by an Art Nouveau style Russian Poster (it had a female instead of a male victim). I have no idea what the poster was for as I do not read Cyrillic. I liked the flow of the tentacles and the simple yet powerful image. I couldn't think of a better title so it is "Sushi's Revenge". 8 1/2 x 11 on Bristol paper, Micron pen, Acrylics and watercolor colored pencil. Picture 31

  1. Well well well, I can finally comment, I really like this piece, so much that I would buy it if I get to see you in person again. Great pose, almost the everything is perfect on the surface, but tortured below by the tentacles of worries and sin. Great piece. -russ-

  3. I agree with Russ that there is interesting symbolism here! I held my hand up to see only above-water and then again for below, and the contrast is interesting. The expression on his face is perfect, chilling when taken with the picture as a whole. (And I love the title! :)

  4. no akirashima said; do i need to say anything here. or will my sounds of gasping for breath suffice. YOU KNOW I WANT A COPY OF THIS! also not sure if i want to be the octopus or the boy. either would be nice. NO there are no deep sins here ... Yet. there is something deep here but i think it is pleasure not pain. at least in my universe to others they seem to see some sort of darkness i guess in the face but i see the kind of on the edge of mind blowing anticipation. of something unexpected emotionally. i think there is going to be a great gasp soon and not in horror.
