Trapped in Illinois

We went to visit my mother in Illinois for a week and ended up stuck there for almost 2. Our trucks transmission went out and had to be rebuilt. So we had nothing to do and could not go visit anyone or see anything with no transportation. So, we just got home...Art may be posted in a few days if I have anything to post.

You were so nearby and you didn't contact me? I'm sorry about that, and I'm even more sorry to hear that your truck's transmission gave up the ghost. I hope you were able to get it repaired with a minimum of fuss. Having gone through that twice myself -- having to get a transmission rebuilt, that is -- I know it's not a pleasant experience... nor is it a cheap one!

  4. Jon, I apparently don't have your current contact information (phone number especially). And with no working car, we could not have gotten to visit anyway.
Transmission etc. cost alot of course but we had no other choice. It got us home and is working ok...but we will be getting a new vehicle soon I think.

I thought you did have my contact information at the new house. Since it seems that is not the case, I'll drop you an e-mail soon (there's no way I'm going to post my home address or -- even worse -- my telephone number on a public forum! I only *look* stupid. ;)
