Merboy Muse Treat
It took a bit longer than planned and I could keep working on it, but I think it is done. Everyone knows about the Little Mermaid well, this is her cuter little brother! Little Merboy, 11 1/2 x 7 1/2, Acrylic, watercolor colored pencil and a tiny bit of Prisma Color on Canson board. Original and prints for sale. Picture 11.

There's an interesting mix of realism and stylized "heraldic" or illumination art in this piece. I like the three blue bubbles placed in a triangle. Perhaps a secret meaning. The leafy stuff behind Merboy comes from the late medieval world. It's also interesting how you've conceived of merman anatomy; it looks like he still has legs hidden inside his tail.
