After the last 4 pictures I almost hesitate to call this a miniature. When I started it I thought it would be my smallest person...but then I noticed the picture setting on the shelf over the computer, a baby Hercules fighting a snake (done back in 1999) , it is a little over an inch wide and about 2 inches tall...so this is FAR from my smallest person. Anyway, This was inspired by works from the 1500's. The figure was inspired by Bonifazio Veronese's, Madonna and Child with Saints. And the background was inspired by Hieronymus Bosh's, The Garden of Delights. "Bless the World", 4 x 5 inches, Egg Tempera (with a small bit of Acrylic and Pro White) on velum (the skin not the paper). Originall and prints for sale. Picture 38.
