For the Birds

I hope this is a start to get me working again. I had a few hours away from home where I had nothing really to do so I had an old sketch of Cardinal partly done and decided to do something with it. This is what I came up with, it may or may not get colored. "Cardinal Transformation", 7 x 11 Micron marker on Bristol. Prints for sale.

    Fantastic idea Tristan and you MUST color it or else even get someone to color it digitally which would overlay the scan of the drawing and not touch your beautiful black and white work.
    One thing I would suggest would be to have the Cardinal wearing some piece of ornate symbolic jewelry on his chest to break up the texture of all those feathers.

    Pyracantha, you know how I feel about digital! So no digital coloring! But I am painting the original now. I had the idea of a necklace/talisman when I was drawing this and forgot when I inked it. I may try and figure out a way to add one after I finish coloring the whole thing!
