Bloody Brutal Work

Well, it will be when I get to the end. This is the next picture in the fight series I am doing on commission. Very rough and chunky, but will get refined as it goes. This is step one "Bronco and Chulo Last Fight", 8 1/2 x 11 pencil on Canson board.

  1. A lot of us don't like this blood and guts sadism stuff. There is already too much of this in the world and a lot of it is directed at us. It's tasteless.

  2. Well Oscar, everyone has their own tastes. I don't like blood and guts stuff much myself but I also don't like not being paid for work. I do what my client wants (with in reason)and in this case, I try to make it as artistically pleasing as possible. The other Bronco pictures have pleased the client and have been things I can live with and not be ashamed of. This one may be more bloody than some others but I hope in the end is still good art!

  3. I'm the customer for this "stuff." First of all, no ink was harmed as a result of these drawings, much less any humans. Secondly, you don't know my reasons for writing a book featuring a young underground fighter. For me, it's a kind of therapy due to certain issues I faced growing up. Like so many other freedoms, if you don't like it, don't participate, so in this case, skip over these drawings. And I'd love the list of names you've gathered who oppose this art. Care to share it?
