Dark Decorative Dance
This is a patchwork scan of the latest picture (my camera is not working so this will have to do for now). I am not sure how well this worked, but I like the strong dark and light and the decortaive border. Here you see an Albino merman in a cave with some sharks. Not alot more to say about it. I did feel like I was going back to my roots a bit with this one as I used latex housepaint as part of the background (latex and acylic are the same thing realy). When I was in high school and first painting, I had no money so used what was easily available many times. And old latex house paint was easy to find. "In the Cave of the Ghost Shark", 15 1/2 x 20, Acrylic, latex, and watercolor colored pencil on Canson board. When I get a better picture the original and prints will be for sale. Picture 18.

ooh, fantastic, I just love his scales. That is a great pose, too
ReplyDeleteAre merpeople fish or cetaceans? In this instance you seem to have equipped him with gills (slits along the sides of his torso) so he's a fish rather than an air-breathing cetacean. Maybe the sharks are like dogs to him, he can train them to hunt for his food and protect him.
