Dark Decorative Dance

This is a patchwork scan of the latest picture (my camera is not working so this will have to do for now). I am not sure how well this worked, but I like the strong dark and light and the decortaive border. Here you see an Albino merman in a cave with some sharks. Not alot more to say about it. I did feel like I was going back to my roots a bit with this one as I used latex housepaint as part of the background (latex and acylic are the same thing realy). When I was in high school and first painting, I had no money so used what was easily available many times. And old latex house paint was easy to find. "In the Cave of the Ghost Shark", 15 1/2 x 20, Acrylic, latex, and watercolor colored pencil on Canson board. When I get a better picture the original and prints will be for sale. Picture 18.

  2. Are merpeople fish or cetaceans? In this instance you seem to have equipped him with gills (slits along the sides of his torso) so he's a fish rather than an air-breathing cetacean. Maybe the sharks are like dogs to him, he can train them to hunt for his food and protect him.
