I did a black and white book way back when called "Darkness & Light; Demons and Angels". I did hand colored prints of several of the pictures I did for it because they just screamed for color. This is one of many I loved from it, "Amazonian Angel" is based on pictures of actual Amazonian natives and all the bits are also proper Amazonian items. The face markings, parrot feathers and plant arm bands are all based on Amazon tribal practices. Even the background is based on the actual Amazon. Black and white print on goldenrod card stock colored with Acrylics, 8 1/2 x 11.

He seems quite burly and heavily muscled for a youth...the proportions of head to body are that of a boy though.
ReplyDeleteCan he fly?
Pyra, Amazonian children tend to be well muscled from running around the jungle all the time. And I doubt he could fly :)
ReplyDeleteGreat picture tristan. You are correct about Children of the Amazon. They really love there life in Amazon and they learn thing about the world no one will never learn about life.
ReplyDeleteI just finished reading a YA novel set in the Amazon and featuring Amazon natives as characters; I feel like he could drop right into their midst. :)
