I think I really like these Art Cards. I am working on a large (20 x 30) commission and still get inspired to do other stuff but feel guilty and get to sidetracked if I start a new project while working on this commission. So these tiny art cards are a great way for me to do other art that is quick to do and doesn't make me feel like I am taking allot of time away from the bigger paying project. So here is one I did mostly late last night. "Horus" inspired partly by the "Stargate" movie, Micron marker, Acrylic and watercolor colored pencil on Bristol art card, 2 1/2 x 3 1/2. Picture 60.

haha the expression on the head is just... disturbing :)
ReplyDeletedisturbing how?
ReplyDeleteLove the black shadows, it really adds contrast. It took me a while to figure out that the s-curved red ribbon is not coming out from a large open mouth, that the beak of the falcon head is actually closed.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like u have the body in the wrong postion, the head doesnt look like it in a natural postion. the body seems off to me it's at an angal and the head is straight ahead
ReplyDeletePyra or Theddy would you care to respond to Andy's comments?
