Happy Samhain

I hope everyone reading this knows but just in case, Samhain is pronounced Sow wen and is the Celtic New Year celebration that is the base for Halloween!

Pelican Continued

So Inktober is on hold and I doubt I will get anymore done for it this year. But the scroll that needs to be done by next weekend is coming along. All that needs done now is the gold leafing and the calligraphy. Here is the color work pretty much finished.

Inktober on Hold

Well I am now 5 pictures behind on my Inktober drawings and due to personal issues I don't expect to get caught up.
First I have a rush SCA scroll to do for a friend and that is what I need to concentrate on and second, my husbands work partner of over 20 years was laid off last week and yesterday morning he killed himself! My husband is not taking it well and having a hard time dealing with it. On top of that my son went to the emergency room, he thought it was a stroke but it wasn't. He would not stay and let them do the tests they wanted to find out what the real problem was. He has fluid in his lungs and they think he could have fluid around his heart and/or a blood clot!
To much stress and worry.

Inktober 16

Well I like this one and would have finished it yesterday if not for sinus problems. The concept of this one is good and parts of it are what I was trying for, but other parts fall short...or well. Inktober 13

Still trying, this is a quick but fun one. Inktober 13 "Mind Blown", 6 x 6 1/2,  India ink and white jell pen on grey toned paper. The title came from the fact that I blew on the ink to make it spread out and well, it had the desired effect. Original and prints available. Picture 48

Inktober 12, Night Birds

Still 3 pictures behind, and this one took more than one day...I used to really love doing ink washes so now I am playing with it again. Inspired by the works of P. Craig Russell and Alphonse Mucha, two of my all time favorite artists. "Inktober 12, Night Birds", 9 x 12, Micron pens and India ink wash on Bristol. Original and prints available. Picture 47

Misfits, Outcasts, Weridos

When I was a kid I was a misfit, I did not fit in with my peers. I was never part of an "in" crowd and was bullied from a very young age because I was different! I did make a few friends and some have been there for a very long time.
Once I found the SCA (in my mid 20's) I found a whole organization full of misfits, outcast and weirdos who understood me and who I understood. It was a new world and I could not believe I had found a place I belonged.
I made many friends and love them all, many became family to me and that made life worth living. But now it seems that I am back to the start. I no longer am appreciated or welcome in the SCA, my long time friends who have been like family to me no longer understand me or have my back. I am alone and outcast again.
I am lucky, at least I am not completely alone since I now have a husband who loves me and who I love and after 30 years we are still holding hands in the car so I am not destitute and on my own, but the friends who once stood by my side no matter what and who wanted me to be part of their lives and who understood how I felt and thought...they have all disappeared or worse, become people who are against me in almost all things!
It makes me very sad and very hurt.

Very Worried

Since I have no friends and no one really gives a damn about my life I guess I will vent here. No one reads this anyway so why not! My husbands work mate of over 20 years is being laid off today, this means the company is doing very badly and that means Don could be next! If he looses his job we are truly screwed. I already have to many health bills and if he is out of work I will not be able to do anything about any of my health issues. Very very worried.

Inktober Slow Start

Due to a few things, being out half the day at a Doctors appointment, having a pinched nerve and numbness/pain in back and hands, and starting with a big picture instead of a reasonable sized one, I started Inktober yesterday late and did not finish the picture yet. I will finish it and do a smaller oen for today and will post them both ASAP.

Coronet Buisness Card
