Finished Knighting Shield Scroll

OK, it is done except for the clear coating. So my calligraphy as usual is crap, but oh well. This is 24 x 38 curved wood shield painted with Acrylic. Picture 1 of 2017.
Addition partly for my friend Pyracantha. The picture below my painting is the painting it was based on by Albrecht Durur.

Well the "calligraphy" is giving me fits, but the picture part is finished. Hope to have it all done by Wednesday.

Shield Scroll Update

Well, I had to redo part of this already. While I did my homework and painted the arms correctly, they are NOT how the person who has them wants them (and they are now working to get them officially switched). So I lost about a days worth of work redoing it. Anyway, here is the shield scroll as it currently stands, lots more to do. This is 25 x 36, curved wood, acrylic paint.

This is what I have been working on and have to have done before the end of Feb. It is a large wooden shield being done as a knighting scroll for the SCA.
