To Tiny

Well, this is not great when blown up...but it is so small no one will ever see the flaws in the original. I hope to do better in my next one this small, we will see. This is 1 1/2 x 1 inch but the window where the picture actually shows when the picture is in the locket it was made for is only 1 2/8 x 5/8 of an inch (so that is the area I fit the actual painted part into). More Tiny Tiny Things

I really hate how not clean and crisp these look when scanned and blown up. The tiny size makes these look really good, so ignore the flaws and imagine how it looks at 1.6 inches! To Tiny

OK, my friend Kris does amazing miniatures, she has recently started doing EXTREME tiny steampunk things. Her work always amazes me but also makes me wonder if I can do it that small...so...This is "Fiery Fish Airship" it is 1.6 inches square. It is Acrylic and ProWhite on velum. (New updated version with background). The nose and propeller are metallic gold. Original and prints for sale. Picture 34.

Horsey Collaboration

Another picture drawn by Vicky Wyman and colored by me. I envy her ability to draw these off the top of her head. I just loved the pose and was thrilled that she let me have this to color. Fishy Collaboration

Tiny Man

Still doing miniatures, this is the picture part of a small scroll I started back when we did the demo at the Walters. The rest of the scroll is still not finished, but it is only a rope border. This is based on an illumination from the Prayer Book of Claude de France, 1517. The image is 2 3/4 x 3 1/4, Egg Tempera and gold acrylic on velum. The whole background is metallic gold as are any highlights that look gold. In real life it looks great, the scan looks weird to me and of course shows all the flaws by enlarging the whole thing.
