Old Black and White Romance

This was another picture done as an SCA newsletter cover. I did this specifically for February if I remember right, thus the romance theme. "Stones of Romance", 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, marker on art paper. Original and prints available.

Old Celtic Art

This was done for a newsletter cover and for an event flier etc. It is the 3 aspects of the Celtic Goddess of Death  and War. "Aspects of the Morigan", 5 1/2 x 7,  marker on Bristol. Original and prints available.

Old Black and White Badges

Way back when, I was very active in many conventions and name tags/badges where big things for people to get. Here are 3 black and white badges I did. The top one was done for Arisia '02 (Arisia is a HUGE SciFi con in Boston and I was lucky enough to be Artist Guest of Honor for 2002). It was a wonderful experience especially as I had just had cancer surgery in Nov. 2001 and Arisia was in jan. 2002. The unofficial theme was "So long and thanks for all the fish." Thus the dolphin in space.

The second badge was a small merman done on scratchboard, not for any con specifically.

The third was done for Esotericon (I assume for 1991 since that is the date on the art). I always enjoyed Esotericon and usually sold fairly well there. I was Artist GoH a few times at Esotericon, this badge was based on an antique Gryphon hood ornament I own. I really love how this one looks.
Prints available of all badges.

Old Art Just Because

Here is another old picture  that sold long ago. I am not all that pleased with it but I thought I would share it anyway. I have no idea what size it is, "Boy and Dolphin", Acrylic and Prisma Color (I think) on Canson board or paper.

Old Art Sequel

Many years ago I did a picture called "In the Satyr Woods", it was well received and the person who bought it commissioned a sequel painting. This is "In the Satyr Woods 2", the original is 16 x 20 (if I remember right) Acrylic and watercolor colored pencil and Prisma color on Canson board. Prints available.

For the Birds

Another Japanese print style picture. "Tsuru", 4 x 9, Acrylic, Micron marker and ProWhite on Canson board. Original and prints for sale. Picture 31.

Old Cover

Back in 1995 I was doing small press book covers, this is one of them. I don't recall if I have a copy of the book or what they did with this art. It was a wrap around cover and the blank "scroll" area was used for the blerb. I don't remember the name of the book at all, so I will call this "Demon Cover" 8 1/2 x 11, marker on Bristol. Original and prints available.

New Art Done I Think

Well I had hoped to get a few more pictures done before Pennsic (which is in 2 weeks). This one I struggled with and while I think I like it, I am still not sure it is done. Also very not sure of the title. (Better photo when the weather clears). "Zin Garden", 7 1/2 x 15 1/2, Acrylic, Micron marker, ProWhite, Watercolor colored pencil on Canson board. Original and prints for sale. Picture 30.

Ducal Coronet Finished

I am pleased to say that I was commissioned by someone in the SCA who is a multi time Duchess from the East who is very well known and who saw some of my coronets posted and decided she wanted on from me. I would share her name but I am not sure if she wants it published at this time. I can show the coronet. This has many bells and whistles and things I have never tried before (I hope they all stand up to use as well as my others have). This is leather, cotton cording, beads and acrylic stones with Acrylic paint. I think it is very spiffy! 29.

Japanese Faerie

Small flowers and faerie inspired by Japanese paintings. "Yosei no kuni", 4 x 10, Acrylic, Micron marker, watercolor colored pencil and ProWhite on Canson board. Original and prints for sale. Picture 28.

Artisistc Archeology

Since they have discovered may dinosaurs with feathers now and since the first ones were discovered in China, I think this is a good possibility of something they could have seen had people lived at the same time as dinosaurs (which we all know they did not). "Feathered Dragon with Flowers", 6 x 11, Acrylic, Micron marker, watercolor colored pencil and ProWhite on Canson board. Original and prints for sale. Picture 27.
