Emerald Rose Done
Here is the Emerald Rose Window, number 9 of 12. There will be 8 more after these, but the first 12 were the original commission. I didn't think I would like the green rose but I think it is one of my favorites so far. This is 8 1/2 x 9 1/2, Acrylic and ProWhite on black board. Prints available. Picture 67.

Forlorn WIP
The next rose is called the Forlorn rose and I liked what I did first better but the client said it was not the right shade so I redid the pinkish color (it was redder pink in the first version). Anyway, she says this is the right coloring so it is. Retouching the "led' around the petals and of course doing everything else still to come.

Pyre Rose Done
Well this one was quick, and I like it a lot. "Pyre Rose Window", 8 1/2 x 9 1/2, Acrylic and Prisma Color on black board. Prints available. Picture 65.

New Dolls Names
I have 3 new boys that need names. I just heard the name Anson and like it, so maybe one of them will get that name.
Second Hand Doll
Well there are drawbacks to getting BJDs that have been previously owned. In this case he is just grungy and after much cleaning I still can not get him completely clean. Not sure what kind of environment he was in before but he is very dirty and I have tried everything I can think of to clean him. He doesn't have a name yet but I thought I would post a couple pictures of him. He is a MSD size, he is 18 inches tall, has a nice body sculpt and a cute face. His legs are a bit long, but that is fairly common for BJDs.
Not a Rose
Well, I have been working on this between working on rose window pictures. I like what I have done but have NO clue nowhere to go with it, how to finish it...hate when that happens.

Copper Rose Window
Finally done, this is the "Copper Rose Window", 8 1/2 x 9 1/2, Acrylic and Prisma color on black board. Prints available. Picture 64.

Finally Started Again
Well I have a ton of these to do and I am finally started on the next Stained glass rose window picture. I have the rose part almost done and a lot of work still to do on the background but I thought I would share the start. "Golden Rose WIP".

Furry Boys
Our 3 male cats all decided to curl up together and I got this cute picture of them. The gold one is Corum, the black one is Berel and the one in the middle is Jaeger.

New Elf
I have had him for awhile, a few months, but he just got his hair last week. So he still needs a name but I thought I would show him off since my friend Pyracantha thinks he is my most beautiful doll. He is a Fairyland MSD elf.

My Next Book
Not sure why I bother and waste money and time getting these printed, but in the futile hope that people might want it my next book will be my Japanese art. Since it won the award for favorite piece at the last Con I attended, I am using my newest picture as the cover for it. It won't get printed till next year when I have the money to do it. The new book will be "From the East", featuring my Japanese print style works.

Chessicon After
Well this was the second Chessicon (the convention in place of Darkover). It will most likely be my last. I sold 3 pieces, my smallest and cheapest and that is just not worth my time. I barely broke even.
I did "Win" an award, my "Kitsune Revealed" was voted Best Fantasy Art in the show by those attending. Nice to get an award, but no one bought the picture, so a certificate and ribbon really don't do much for me.
So if anyone want an award winning picture it is still available.

Finished Fox
OK, I finally finished this but the kanji is slightly off. It should say kitsune revealed but it actually says kitsune revelation. The idea here is that the smoke (from incense I guess) is revealing the true nature of the kitsune. You still have the human body and hand but the face is now fox! "Kitsune Revealed", 7 x 15, Acrylic, ProWhite, Micron pen and watercolor colored pencil on Canson board. Original and prints available. Picture 62.

Abused by My Muse
As some of you know, my muse is a brat! He doesn't help when I need him and he insists I do certain art when HE wants me to! I had really hoped to do a rose picture between Monday and this weekend, but instead THIS hit me and had to be done. It is not quite finished (still need the kanji to go one the label/gold rectangle), but overall I like it and it is nearly finished. So here is a work in progress (nearly done) "Kitsuna Revealed".

Christmas is Canceled
For many many reasons I may just skip Christmas this year. I have NO money and am not likely to get any between now and Christmas and if I can not get gifts for others I have no holiday. I would make something for the people in my life I give gifts to, but all I can do is art and they don't want that! As for myself, I don't really need anything and I sure don't deserve anything. So I really think this will be a NO Christmas year!

Second Holiday Card Done
I think it is finished, the print version will be slightly cropped and will likely have words on it. But here is the finished original art, "Solstice Stag", 9 x 12, Acrylic, ProWhite and Micron pen on Canson board. Original and prints available. Picture 61.
Holiday Card WIP 3
Well this would be finished but my husband thinks the background is kind of plain and I feel like the picture still needs something, not sure what. If you have any ideas feel free to make suggestions!

The Goddess Has Arrived
I just got the new books from the printer and they came out fantastic. So as of now if you want a copy of my all female art book, "Goddess Incarnate" email me at Tristan@vampyre-nmp.com and order one (or more). They are $20 each + shipping and contain 24 full color illustrations, plus the front and back cover art.
Second Card WIP
I have no idea where this is going but I hope it will end up being our second card for this year. This is the Work in progress sketch.

Wooden Tiger
I had hoped to do several small wooden rounds with animals etc. on them but as with everything else I am not going to get what I want done. But here is one at least, "Tiger Round", 3 inch circle, Acrylic on wood. SOLD prints available. Picture 60.

Holiday Card One Done
OK here is the finished art for the first of what is normally 2 cards for the Holidays. This will have words or a word on iy when it is printed as a card and be slightly cropped. "Peace 2015", 9 x 12, Acrylic, ProWhite and Prisma colors on grey toned paper. Original and prints available. Picture 59.
Holiday Card WIP
I am getting started way late on my holiday cards this year and even considered not doing one. But here is the WIP of what I have so far. I would add the word Peace over his head and the cloth around him needs to be colored but I have no idea what color to do it, any suggestions?

Golden Girl to Valkyrie
This was started back in May and I just finished it. I called it Golden Girl before because I could not think of a name, now with wings I am finished and it is "Valkyrie". 9 x 12, Acrylic and White Prisma color on grey toned paper. Original and prints available. Picture 58
Can't Sleep Post
Well since I can't sleep I decided to scan and upload this little study I did based on a photo of a friends child. He was not nude, just shirtless but I didn't want to draw his pants. This is cropped from the full 9 x 12 page I did it on, it is acrylic and white Prisma on tan toned paper. I really like the look. Not a great likeness but at least it didn't come out to bad. "Child Study". Picture 57

Finished Commission
Alright, after redoing the mon (symbols on the shoulders) at least 3 times I think they are good now. It now has all the elements and I hope the client is happy with the end product. This is "Guardian of the High Mountain", 8 x 18, Micron pen, Acrylic, watercolor colored pencil and ProWhite on Canson board. Prints available. Picture 56

Japanese Commission Nearly Done
I am still doing some small finishing touches and seeing if the client would mind a pattern on the brown or black. Wolf Samurai WIP 5.

Japanese Commission WIP 4
Here is the 4th WIP of the Wolf Samurai commission. playing delayed email tag with the client and getting some things done before he tells me what he wants and I am not exactly doing what he decided...hope I don't need to change much. Ah well here is the work so far.

Evil Woman
Here is another mostly ink wash picture. I used to do a lot of ink wash back in high school and now I remember why, I really like how it looks and how quickly you can get great effects. This is 9 x 12, Micron pen, India Ink, White Prisma color and Acrylic on grey toned paper. "Demoness", original and prints available. Picture 55

Finally Started
The commission I got at Pennsic (in August) is finally started. I have had several physical and other set backs that kept me from getting to this. Now I can get it done once the guy who commissioned it OKs a sketch. I did 2 roughs for this, both are based on poses from Japanese prints but I think one is better. Here are the two sketches, both are 8 x 18 on Canson board. Even though these look like different colored boards but that is just bad photo lighting.

Trying to Get Back
This was a somewhat quick picture, drawn over a couple days when I had a chance to sketch and finished last night and this morning. I thought of several things to do on it but went how it went. Trying to get back to work, I hope to post the sketch for a commission I need to get done soon. "Demon with Dragon Parasol", 9 x 12, Micron pen, India ink wash and White Prisma Color on grey toned paper. Original and prints available. Picture 54

Not Doing Well
Not that anyone reads this anymore, but I have to vent a small bit. I will be 60 next year (if I live that long) and right now I am a lot of pain, legs and feet and knees mostly, I am unable to get work done that I need/want to and I am very aware of the limited time I have on this planet! My son dealing with serious health issues isn't helping my mood any either and now we have a couple of our cats that really need to go to the vet but we really can't afford it...depression is hitting hard right now. Just not seeing any hope.

Happy Samhain
I hope everyone reading this knows but just in case, Samhain is pronounced Sow wen and is the Celtic New Year celebration that is the base for Halloween!
Pelican Finished
Well it is not perfect but it has gold leafing and calligraphy now (I am a terrible calligrapher but had a deadline). Based on the Rothschild Mahor, ornamental page, rules for Rosh Ha-Shanah, fol.226v. Florence 1492.This is 11 x 15, Micron pens, Acrylic, Gold leaf on Velum. Picture 52

Pelican Continued
So Inktober is on hold and I doubt I will get anymore done for it this year. But the scroll that needs to be done by next weekend is coming along. All that needs done now is the gold leafing and the calligraphy. Here is the color work pretty much finished.
