Pelican Scroll Given and Done
Now that it is given I can post pictures of the latest scroll I did for the SCA. A long time friend and founding Baron of my home group was awarded his Pelican. For those who do not know what a Pelican is in the SCA, You know what a Knight is ,well a Pelican is a Knight for service instead of fighting. It is a Peerage, one of 4 Great Awards that are SCA wide and are the best you can get. Here is his scroll, I did the illumination (the art) and a friends Baroness Daniela did the Calligraphy, it is in German because that is Heinrich's persona. This is Acrylic, Egg Tempera and Micron pen on Parchment (animal skin).
Picture 21.
