I may have posted this before but I recently pulled this out and took another photo of it. This was started over 18 years ago maybe 20 or more. I love how what I have done looks, his face is so cute and I love the pose...but I have sketched background after background over the years and none of them work for me. One day, I hope I will figure out the right background for this picture and finally finish it. "Wild Child WIP", 16 x 20, Acrylic and watercolor colored pencil on Canson board.

Tristan: I don't think you need to do much on the background of this picture. A scattering of spring green and May green leaves painted in gouache behind him - not that much - would give your young satyr a nice seasonal feeling.
