Feile Shamhna

That says "Happy Halloween" or at least that is what it is supposed to say in Gaelic. Halloween is a favorite holiday of mine and I have had many years of great joy around this time of year. I know this is early, but I couldn't wait! Samhain (pronounced /ˈsɑːwɪn/) is the Celtic New Year and is a Fire festival. I was inspired by an add in a comic book (not even remotely related to what I came up with) to do this picture. It has many proper Celtic symbols and was fun to do. "Samhain", 5 x 14, Acrylic, watercolor colored pencil. (lettering and side bar added by computer). Picture 55 of the year.

  2. i keep forgetting it is a fire festival too. Maybe that would be a good time to do my burning of offerings and apologies in a possibly vain attempt to apologize for whatever i did to get to this point.
