Finished Inspiration

I could keep adding more and more layers and more and more stars, but I have other things to do. The bird like thing is actually a kind of Orchid, a real flower that looks like a bird. If you look up "Angel of Inspiration study" you will see the preliminary idea for this picture. So here is "Inspiration", 18 x 22, Acrylic, watercolor colored pencil, ProWhite, Gold leaf and Micron pen on Canson board. Original and prints for sale. Picture 16

  1. This final is really handsome. I like the way you unified the figure's black hair with the starry cosmos. I'm somewhat mystified why you blurred the purple and blue abstract geometry, maybe to make the figure stand out more? And I'm still looking for his fourth wing. As for your comments on my winery picture at Hardscrabble, I was trying an unusual composition where the color area and the monochrome were long vertical rectangles side by side rather than the usual top and bottom panels. I'm glad you liked my experiment.
