Spring Fling

Stupid title but I couldn't think of anything. I just finished a picture based somewhat on a Clouded Leopard (not a true leopard but that is what it is called and it's markings are lovely). A somewhat simple, artistic pose just cause I liked it. "Clouded Cutie", 8 x 10, Acrylic and watercolor colored pencil on Canson board. Picture 27.

Rising

I hope I didn't post this already. I try hard to not repeat myself on here. This is one of my earliest and favorite pictures of my Vampyre, Valantene. I was very happy with the way the shading and details came out. "Valantene Rising", 8 1/2 x 11 marker on Bristol paper. Prints available.

Late For Easter

I had hoped to have an anthro rabbit picture done or at least started for Easter, but it didn't happen. Now I have a finished bunny of sorts. The movie "Harvey" is a favorite of mine and is the first time I ever heard of a phooka (pronounced pu-ka). These mischievous Celtic spirits appear in the form of various animals. Normally they are black, but in "Harvey" we are told he is white. I decided to add spiral mystical symbols and keep the background simple but to imply a connection to the movie by putting in the street lamp. Badge for a Friend

Kyr is a friend who loves deer. He has an anthro version of himself that is a white stag and I wanted to do something for him so I did this little con badge of his animal self. "Kyr badge", 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 Acrylic, Micron marker and watercolor colored pencil on Canson board. Picture 25.

Birthing Elephants

OK, not exactly but oddly enough due to being sick, it seemed like a major chore to get this picture done. I have always liked the Hindu God Ganesha. The fact that he is sometimes portrayed as a baby is also appealing to me. So here is my first Ganesha picture ever, inspired by Hindu art and by the book "Goddesses of the Celestial Gallery" by Romio Shrestha. The art is amazing and his work has 1000 times more detail than my poor attempt. But the style is still what inspired this. "Baby Ganesha", 11 x 11 Acrylic on Canson board. Picture 24.

Sick of being Sick

Day 3 of sinus/cold/allergy problem. sore throat with runny nose and headache, followed by horrible coughing. Not much sleep and no way to get any art done. Hope I am better soon...
