We are back and it was a long trip. Wonder if anyone missed me posting?
Here is a black and white that I am very happy with, it does look better in person and somehow loses something subtle in copying or scanning. "Above and Below" was inspired by M.C. Escher's "Three Worlds". It is 8 1/2 x 11, Micron Pigma marker on Bristol paper.
This piece is really pretty Tristan! Although I believe you that it looks better in person (the best art does), it's still quite striking here on the blog.

YOU HAVE RETURNED! but i knew that :P
ReplyDeletei believe i have seen this one before. and yeah subtleness can get lost. as it is with flanowa giving critique on some of my more recently posted stuff i had to point out that some of the subtle he was looking for was lost in the scan!
Oh, that's VERY nice.
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh, that reminds me of when the fellowship of the ring were walking in the mist marsh and they saw the dead under the water...
