Home Again

We are back and it was a long trip. Wonder if anyone missed me posting?

Here is a black and white that I am very happy with, it does look better in person and somehow loses something subtle in copying or scanning. "Above and Below" was inspired by M.C. Escher's "Three Worlds". It is 8 1/2 x 11, Micron Pigma marker on Bristol paper.

  1. This piece is really pretty Tristan! Although I believe you that it looks better in person (the best art does), it's still quite striking here on the blog.

i believe i have seen this one before. and yeah subtleness can get lost. as it is with flanowa giving critique on some of my more recently posted stuff i had to point out that some of the subtle he was looking for was lost in the scan!
